Boston Marathon Amateur Radio Forums

Hello. In the event some of us, including myself, have the capability of setting up and operating portable base station two way radios during the event, are there any major concerns with doing so? Of course safety is number one, and if the weather is wet and stormy I would not do so. However, I'd like the opportunity to see if the maneuver improves radio communication performance and provides additional value to our service at this event.
